St. John's Hospital - Lebanon is an acute care, general medical-surgical hospital with 64 beds including 16 new  beds in the Medical Surgical expansion which opened on February 14th 2008. We are proud to say that these new state of the art rooms are 61% larger than the average hospital room in Missouri. The Hospitalist Program has been expanded to provide 24 hour a day, seven day a week coverage for adult medical patients. The hospital care team is comprised of highly trained individuals who offer care for all ages from the pediatric to the geriatric populations of the community. St. John's Hospital - Lebanon is located off Interstate 44 (Exit 130) in Lebanon, Missouri, and has an average daily census of 25 patients. There are 4 ICU beds. Our current facility was dedicated in March 1999. St. John's Hospital - Lebanon is a member of St. John's Health Systems and The Sisters of Mercy Health System. Over 100 patients a day are seen in the Emergency Department, which is staffed by six employed physicians and three employed physician assistants. Our ER physicians and physician assistants are required to have ACLS and ATLS certifications. Our nursing staff also has training in Advanced Cardiac Life Support, Trauma Nursing, and Emergency Pediatric Care. The Emergency Room has 11 beds in private rooms which is soon to be expanded to 22 rooms when we open up the new Emergency Room addition. The Surgery/Anesthesia Department performs approximately 3,600 cases a year with 75% of those being outpatient procedures. There are 13 surgeons employed by the hospital, 2 Orthopedic Surgeons, 3 General Surgeons, 1 Podiatrist, 2 OB/GYN's, 2 Ear/Nose/Throat Specialists, 2 Plastic Surgeons and 1 Eye Surgeon. The hospital also currently employs 6 CRNAs. The OB department has two Board certified OB-Gyn practitioners who deliver approximately 40 babies a month. Mothers "room in" at the facility and one OR room is scheduled so emergency C-sections can be performed within 30 minutes. We currently have 14 Registered Nurses on the OB staff, with 5 of those being Certified in Inpatient Obstetrics.  We also have 2 Certified Lactation Consultants on staff to assist with mothers desiring to breastfeed.   There are 35 active physicians on staff and a total of 180 physicians credentialed at St. John's Hospital - Lebanon. This facility is accredited by The Joint Commission .
