The Engineering Department is made up of two services: BioMedical Electronics & Facility Maintenance. BioMedical Electronics has a staff of two (2) Electronic Techs. Maintenance is comprised of three (3) staff members working on facility maintenance and two (2) working on grounds. Engineering is responsible for the every day maintenance and repair of equipment ranging from Patient Care Medical Equipment, to anything that has to do with the building environment (for example- heating, cooling, water, & electrical). We take care of interior and exterior appearances ranging from grounds maintenance to interior painting and patching. We are responsible for all Life Safety Equipment including Emergency lighting, Fire Alarm Systems, Sprinklers, Fire Extinguishers and Emergency Generators. St. John's Hospital - Lebanon uses emergency backup generators in case of any power loss for the protection of our patients and staff. The department operates Monday thru Friday, 7:00 am - 4:30 pm, with on call personnel available 24 hours a day, every day. Our goal is to provide quality service to all our patients and staff and to maintain a safe environment for all who visit, stay, or work here. We do this by basing our standards off of those who regulate or advise us, including JCAHO, The Missouri Department Health, The NFPA, The Missouri Department of Natural Resources, and The Environmental Protection Agency.
